As today was our last lesson for BLTC and I thought of making something for my fellow classmates that went through this 6 lessons with me.. We cried together, had fun together, fellowship together. I reallyed enjoyed those time and just felt want to do something unique to bless them and remind them we are once in this class together. So I bought notebooks and did this.. I got Layhwa to take a photo of it and send it to me cos I forgot to take before I gave them just now.. Though I didnt sleep the whole nite to rush through these books but then i believe they worth my time. :)

Today, our trainer was none other than Beatrice... As today is our 6th Lesson and also marked to the end of the course but we are still having 3 months of probation.
Today, we learn how to be a Happy Leader?

REFRESH DAILY IN THE LORD
As Leaders, we should also
1. Learn how to manage our expectation towards the ushers.
2. Focus on the Positive
3. Be Confidence in ourselves

Jesus Washes the Disciples' Feet
1 Now before the Feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that His hour had come that He should depart from this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end.
2 And supper being ended, the devil having already put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray Him,
3 Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He had come from God and was going to God,
4 rose from supper and laid aside His garments, took a towel and girded Himself.
5 After that, He poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded.
today just before the lesson ended, Beatrice was sharing about Jesus washing the feet of the Disciples.. and then.. pails and pails of water came in. They were going to wash our feets today as Jesus has washed the feets of his disciples. Beatrice started washing the feets of Jurong SL.. after that followed by us..

Though this passage is very familiar to me.. but I have never expected a ACU(Assisant Chief Usher cum church staff) to wash my feets and today she really did. I felt so much like the disciples. It takes so much of their prides down just to do that? When Beatrice was washing my feets, she told me lots of things and one part was "sometimes, I am really trying very hard but let God be God" thought Beatrice is not in Jurong serving with us but then I am amazed by the things she knew. As she was speaking, tears simply flow down my cheeks.. and when she hugged me.. I guessed I really wet her shirt? haha.. she was still encourging me "Vanessa, you can do it". After tat, I knee brokenly before God weeping for there are so many times that I wanted to give up because I am tired because I am feeling discouraged but He has never let me go. For some reasons, tears just flow.. then after tat, the trainers prayed to impart us and when Ivory was praying for me.. tears just flow again.. when she was praying for my family. Yes.. i did have some arguement with my parents but I have not shared with anyone except for my ai ren.. but today God showed me how real he is once again.
During lesson today, we decided to have brothers sitting first row while sisters take 2nd row and it is so used to it that we LOVE squeezing?? haha
can you imagine Beatrice was teaching halfway.
Beatrice: Vanessa, are you very cold
Me: no
Beatrice: then why you all squeeze till like that when there are still some more seats
Me: we simply love each other too much and we cant squeeze during service. haha
Beatrice was like 你们赢了.. then continue teaching
After tat, we showed the leaders a special video by Jurong Ushers and then followed by celebrating Beatrice's Birthday today!! I used to think that she is very fierce but after getting to know her in BLTC.. it seems like she is more approachable. After we left the room, when we are in level 4 cafateria area, we started to sing song to Beatrice and enjoying ourselves till we started singing "Tat's what friends are for" when all the trainers joined in together with us. Then we sang ‘对面的Beatrice看过来” and then we started singing "You are my sunshine" to the trainers.. guess all of us really enjoyed those lessons and we are simply who we are.
A Usher family that is having fun together. Having the same goal and vision.
Having the same golden rule "SMILE!"
then we went to 2nd best for last sinful time of fellowship...
we had Laska, Fried Oyster Egg and Rojak.. haha.. see.. sinful rite? But then we are only sinful like on Sunday nite after a long crying sessions... Worshipping sessions... finally to 2nd best to enjoy ourselves?? haha.
Below is something that I would like to share and some message to the fellow trainers if they ever get a chance to read: -
Honestly, when You Mei first told me that she didnt sign me up for the class but I can go there and be a special student for the first lesson. I went. I thought it was going to be operational so just to go there to have fun but when Jeff shared the message, I was blown away. In order to have JOY - We need to put Jesus, Others then Us. I told You Mei i wanted to attend the classes and I promised that I will take the lessons seriously and in fact, I kept my word, I went for every single lesson without fail. These lessons not only renew my life but also changed my mindset. Every single lesson was explosive, encouraging and simply always remind us no matter what we do, always look back to Jesus. What's more? I believe that if you know that as Ushers, we hardly had time to Praise and Worship during service let alone Leaders but during BLTC, we simply come together as ushers to Praise and Worship God. To stay in God's presence. Allow the Holy Spirit to show us our dreams and visions again.
To Ren Jie:
When you taught about Unity in Lesson 4. I was shocked because that very week, I was actually feeling disappointed and I told Layhwa that I am tired. I just feel like giving up welfare and thoughts of giving up unite-ing my section and group because it's tiring. I dun have anymore energy. And you shared about Unity, about your section 7. It then remind me of 4S5. My first section, we are so much like a family and it's because someone took the lead and the rest followed and bring in more ushers to join us. God then showed me once again why i am placed in Jurong to impact and let another section be so close like a family. God loves unity and only when there is unity, then will bring teamwork. It just encouraged me to carry on trying till I sucess. Thank you.
To Pei Fen:
Last week's sharing session was indeed a good one. When I was feeling low and lost when my godpa went back to the Lord, at that time even though I wasnt really close to you or in fact you are my SL for a few weeks and at the same time you just lost your father but you actually came to share your story with me and even spend time to talk to me and help me to stand up on my feet again. Pei Fen, thank for all the sharing and for the whole week, the words that I kept deeply in my heart is "keep on walking and keep on walking".
To Beatrice:
Thank you for all the encouragement that you have given to me for the past 6 weeks. And today, when you washed my feets, so much of me wanted to say I am not worth for you are a ACU? But yet, you still did. It's hard to wash the feets of others especially when we are not the same level but you did. I am lost for words but then Every word that you said, I will keep it in my heart. I know each time when I feel discourage, your words will appear to me.
Though BLTC has ended but then it's just another begining of our usher life. :)
I just want to thank all the trainers for always rushing down from expo and I truely enjoyed all the lessons. Tranforming Lessons.. Always felt refresh and recharge after every lesson :)
